Inconvenient Excellence: The Case for Marjon2030

At Plymouth MarjonUniversity, we recognise the urgent need for higher education to address societal inequities and respond to the demands of our region. By 2035, the South West will require over half a million additional graduates, with a higher demand for advanced qualifications than the UK average. Marjonis proud to launch our new 2030 strategy which positions us to play a critical role in raising aspirations, addressing inequities, and fulfilling higher qualification demands.

By 2030, we will:

  • Extend our reach and influence, becoming the leading provider of high-quality teaching, learning opportunities, research, and knowledge exchange for professional, public services, and community-facing sectors.
  • Produce sought-after graduates who are innovative problem-solvers, equipped to inspire and improve their communities.
  • Solidify our status as a valuable anchor institution, deeply integrated into the fabric of our city and region.

Our Mission and Vision
